Send a test event to Reddit Conversions API
Enter your Reddit Pixel ID and conversion access token, select events and send them to Conversions API v3. Paste the test_id from the Event Testing tab first: without it, Reddit counts the events in live stats.
1 239 events sent through the service
What does Way2 Pixel send to Reddit?
Way2 Pixel (Pixel Activator) posts to ads-api.reddit.com/api/v3/pixels/{pixel_id}/conversion_events with the token as Authorization: Bearer. Our server passes the token through and keeps no copy. Events are wrapped as data.events[], and the test_id, if any, sits next to them in data.
Reddit v3 requires action_source, and for this tool it is always WEBSITE, even without an Event source URL.

How does Reddit test mode work?
Reddit uses a test_id. In Reddit Ads Manager open Events Manager, switch to the Event Testing tab and copy the active test_id. Enter it in the Test event code field of this form.
The form shows a warning for Reddit on purpose: if the field is empty, the request goes without test_id and the conversion is counted in your live statistics.
How do I check the result in Reddit?
- A 200 response without an error message means Reddit accepted the batch.
- Keep the Event Testing tab open in Events Manager while you send.
- Test events show up there within a few seconds; match the event type and time with your send.
- If nothing appears, check that the
test_idis the current one and belongs to the same Pixel ID.
Which Reddit ID and token go into the form?
The Pixel ID and a conversion access token, both from Events Manager > Configure data source > Conversions API. Not an ad account ID, campaign ID or developer token. Reddit recommends its non-expiring conversion access token for CAPI.
Step by step: copy the Reddit Pixel ID and generate a conversion token
Reddit errors and their usual causes
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| HTTP 401 or 403, or a message about the bearer token | Conversion access token is wrong or revoked | Generate a new token in Events Manager and copy it before closing the dialog |
| HTTP 404 or a message about the pixel or account | Pixel ID is wrong, or an ad account ID was entered instead | Use Copy to Clipboard next to the Pixel ID in Events Manager |
| Conversion shows up in live stats | Sent without test_id |
Always paste the test_id while checking the setup |
| HTTP 429 | Rate limit reached | Wait briefly, then send a single request |
